Decorating armor increases the max. MP, HP, magic and body protection and for weapons body attack / magic attack is increased.

When decorating, the rule is: the better the Mats used, the better the result. I.e. if you only use simple mats you will get a worse result than if you use best mats.

 

For the Divine Ornaments you need crafting books, but you use less potential of the equipment.

 

In the cities you can find the carver. When addressing him he opens a window, in which you first put the piece of armour you want to decorate into (just right-click on it in your inventory - go in alone). On the right side you can now choose how you want to decorate - "normal" or divine (with or without crafting book). Once you have made your choice, the required materials are displayed. You can decide on the quality of the materials yourself (i.e. if it says leather, you can use any quality level of leather). Below you can enter how many attempts you want to make if it fails. Then click on decorate and off you go.

 

The higher the decorating level, the lower the chances of success.

With luck you improve your chances of success and with better chances of success you have less failures.

 

If you fail, the equipment loses some potential and the mats you used.

However, you can counteract the loss of potential with "Alter Feen Tau".
