Polearm

Polearm fighters use locks, staves and other long-handled weapons which deal body damage and have some defensive properties. Skilled staff fighters can do very great damage. Experienced staff fighters can improve their own defence. This makes them best suited as a tank for boss mobs or other difficult opponents.

Skill suggestion

Note: The pole skill allows you to skill in two different directions. On the one hand on attack and on the other hand on defence. I.e. if you mainly want to tank in a group, you should go for defence and if you also want to master quests alone, you should go for attack. The interaction of the second talent is of great importance here.

The general bar skills are: Dragon Matrix (15) and Distraction (12).

The bar skills for attack are: Murderous Gaze (3), Serpent Soul (4) and Flying Dragon (11).

Staff kills for defence are: Emperor's Corpse Defence (8), Losing Control (10), Wind Soul (18) - AOE, Gift of the Emperor (19) and Iron Will (20) - gives a permanent buff.

With all the skills mentioned, the corresponding passive skills are just as important!

1 Kranich Stoß Attacks the enemy and deals 27 damage.
2 Kranichs Seele Increases the impact of Crane Strike and the hit chance of the skill by 3%.
3 Mörderischer Blick Increases Body Attack by 25 and reduces MP limit by 62. Cannot be combined with Imperial Defence.
4 Schlangenseele The enemy hears the hiss of a snake after Murderous Gaze. Lowers his body protection by 18 for 20 seconds. Can be used up to 3x at the same time.
B Assistent Stangen Assistant Rods improves the status values of Strength and Stature. Required for other staff talents.
5 Tiger Matrix Increases your body attack and that of your nearby teammates by 65, but reduces your critical hit chance by 25%. You can only use one Matrix at a time.
6 Frontalangriff Requires Tiger Matrix. Inflicts 39 damage and a chance to inflict Brain Shock on your opponent, draining their HP by 33 every 3 seconds for 15 seconds.
7 Tiger Sprung Requires Tiger Matrix. Inflicts 72 damage and a chance to inflict a dizziness that dazes the opponent for 1.5 seconds.
8 Kaiserliche Abwehr Max. HP +75, Block Rate +10%, Body Protection +66, Magic Protection +72, Defence +35. Critical Hit chance -20% and MP -17%. Cannot be combined with Murderous Gaze.
9 Verspotten Can be used after Imperial Defence. Taunts the target into attacking you for 4 seconds.
10 Verlorene Kontrolle Requires Imperial Defence. Deals 40 damage and lowers the opponent's armour by 59 for 20 seconds. Can be stacked up to 5x.
11 Fliegender Drache The dragon deals significant damage to the enemy after the serpent soul, its roar deals an additional 40 points of damage.
12 Ablenkung Professional martial arts skill that activates after blocking an attack with your pole. Restores 14 HP every 3 seconds.
13 Heiliges Schild Professional martial arts skill that activates after blocking an attack with your pole. Restores 14 HP every 3 seconds.
14 Vorherrschaft Sprinting at a group from a distance breaks all skills and immobilises enemies for 4.5 seconds.
C Profi Stangen Profi Poles improves the status values of Strength and Stature. Required for other pole talents.
15 Drachen Matrix Activates the Dragon Matrix and reduces the enemy's Defence by 173 points and Attack skill by 150 points. Only one matrix can be activated.
16 Stürmische Winde Requires Dragon Matrix and attacks nearby enemy groups, dealing 183 damage and paralysing them for 3 seconds.
17 Kraft und Ansehen Requires Dragon Matrix. Causes a huge threat and causes nearby enemies to attack you for 6 seconds.
18 Windseele Can be used after triggering Imperial Defence. Attacks nearby enemy groups and deals 171 damage.
19 Geschenk des Kaisers Requires Imperial Defence. Increases maximum HP by 700, increases block by 300 and disease resistance by 20.
20 Eiserner Wille Requires Imperial Defence. Increases bleed resistance by 160 and disease resistance by 14 points.
21 Erdbebenseele Deals 43 damage and knocks the enemy's weapons from their hands, disarming them for 5 seconds.
22 Ausmaß Earthquake Soul can attack all enemies within 5 metres.
23 Abgebrochener Fels After the opponent is disarmed by Earthquake Soul, the rock provides a fierce attack and enormous damage.
24 Springender Drache Requires Murderous Gaze. Deals 59 damage, provides deterrence and reduces the chance of a critical hit by the opponent by 20%.
25 Macht umleiten Reduces the opponent's attack by 90 points while in Distraction status.
26 Umgekehrte Skala For pole fighters, there is a 30% chance of getting rid of a negative status after an opponent's critical hit. Consumes 4% of your MP.
D Feldherr General improves the status values of Strength and Stature. Required for other pole talents. (Lvl 80)
27 Leuchtender Himmel Inflicts considerable damage on the opponent. Confuse resistance increases by 150 for 4 seconds and the opponent is disarmed for 1 second. Puts you into Raging Fury status for 10 seconds.
28 Unheilige Wut Requires the Raging Fury status. Inflicts significant damage to the opponent. Confuse resistance increases by 150 for 4 seconds and the opponent is disarmed for 1 second. Puts you into Faithful Spirit status for 10 seconds.
29 Treue Seele Requires the Faithful Soul status. Inflicts significant damage to the opponent. Confuse resistance increases by 150 for 4 seconds and the opponent is disarmed for 1 second. Puts you in King's Hammer status for 10 seconds.
30 Königs Hammer Requires the King's Hammer status. Inflicts significant damage to the opponent. Confuse resistance increases by 150 for 4 seconds and the opponent is disarmed for 1 second.
31 Kriegsirre Deals heavy damage to an opponent and puts you in Wildman status, increasing your Magic Defence by 400 for 6 seconds. Can be used up to 3 times simultaneously.
